The Task
Create a portal site for an industrial company interested in providing their broad base of customers with private and secure access to resources related to products they use and/or own. A globally accessible news feed was required to keep all of their customers informed about service bulletins and other news about their products.
The Solution
Create a robust user and group management system in Silverstripe that allows setting up relationships of groups to a specific set of resources. Resources can also be set up to be global, or accessible by all groups.
